Meet Our Directors

Charles F. Kremp 3rd, Director, Chairman

Charles is the owner of Kremp Florist, headquartered in Willow Grove with stores throughout the greater Philadelphia area.  He is active in a variety of industry organizations and is past Chairman of the Society of American Florists.

Charles’ leadership and commitment carry over to community involvement.  He is on the board of the Willow Grove Chamber of Commerce and Willow Grove Charities.

William B. Weihenmayer, Director, Vice Chairman

Bill is a former partner of The Linpro Company (a national real estate developer), currently provides real estate consulting services throughout the greater Philadelphia area.

Bill's recent past roles as director/trustee have been with Willow Financial Bancorp, The Golf Association of Philadelphia, and Germantown Academy.  Currently, he serves as a director of the Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust, where he recently served as president.

A life long resident of the area, Bill and his family live in Huntingdon Valley.

Shirley M. Dennis, Director

An active community advocate, public administrator and businesswoman, Shirley is the retired Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Cheyney University of Pennsylvania. Shirley’s varied positions have included:  Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Community Affairs on Governor Thornburgh’s Cabinet where she initiated the Enterprise Zone Program; Presidential appointee as Director of the Women’s Bureau and CEO of the Housing Association of Delaware Valley.  She was the first American to head the Women’s Committee of Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

Her volunteer activities include founding the Martin Luther King Memorial Committee of Abington Hospital, and serving on the board at Jenkintown Day Nursery.

Shirley holds an MBA from West Chester University plus two Honorary Doctorate degrees.  She also received a Fellowship from Howard University, Institute of Politics.

Senator Stewart J. Greenleaf, Director

Senator Greenleaf has represented the 12th Senatorial District in Pennsylvania for more than 20 years.  A lifelong resident of Upper Moreland Township, he has served as the township’s Commissioner and is involved in many organizations including the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority.

In his role as senator, Greenleaf is chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee and is the author of numerous important pieces of legislation including Pennsylvania’s Megan’s Law.  He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and continues to reside in Upper Moreland Township with his wife.

J. Ellwood Kirk, Director

“Woodie”, now retired, was a past president, CEO and Director of Willow Grove Bank. He has been involved with his community and local government for many years. He actively participates in his church’s management of property and investments and is a founding director of the Willow Grove Community Development Corporation.

Woodie is a graduate of Drexel Institute of Technology. He and his wife raised three children and live in Upper Dublin Township.

Frederick A. Marcell Jr., Director

Past President/CEO, presently Director of Willow Financial Bank, Fred has made a career of service—both personal and professional—to the local community. 

He received his undergraduate degree from LaSalle University and continued his graduate studies at Temple University.  He has held various high-ranking positions covering a span of 40 years in banking prior to 1992 when he joined Willow Grove Bank.

Over the years he has held many leadership positions within the civic community such as Chairman of the Board of the Greater Willow Grove Chamber of Commerce; Chairman of the Hatboro YMCA; Director of Police and Citizens Together; Director of Willow Grove Charities, St. Mary Hospital, PA Association of Community Bankers, the American Red Cross and LaSalle University President's Council and a member of the Foundation for Independent Colleges.

Fred recently was inducted into the PA Association of Community Bankers Hall of Fame.
